without flaw or blemish. A patch or plug on a tire Is neither sightly nor efficient. If your tire has been damaged send it where it will be vulcanized, the only right way of repairing. And it will not give you any further trouble. Vulcanizing merges the damaged edges together so that the mended part is really stronger than the tire itself.

BY FIFTY PEOPLE Rev. and Mrs. R. Everette Lucas Surprised by Church Congregation. Last evening about eight o'clock Mr. and Mrs. R. Everette Lucas were disturbed by some noise on the street by automobiles coming and stopping north of their house. Charles Hall had stopped the evening before and said that he and his family were coming in to spend the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lucas, but Charley is one of those fellows who when he goes anywhere, wants to get there early and when he did not arrive at about 7 o'clock, things began to look a little suspicious. The suspicion of Mr. and Mrs. Lucas was pretty well founded for 50 people from the New Salem church got out of the machines and buggies that came, taking possession of the place, bringing with them all kinds of cakes and five gallons of real ice cream. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hall and children, Rush, Olin and Miss Florence, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Beck, and daughters, Mary and Fern, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Beck and daughters, Pauline, Mildred and Bertha Marie, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Beck and children, Elizabeth, Richard and Dorothy, Mr. and Mrs. James Long, Mr. and Mrs. Linnie Beck and daughter Lenora, Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
