Frank Routh, elevator operator in the court house, hu statement to make in regard to the drafted men who were up for examination yesterday. He says thai he probably hauls hundreds of people up and down in the-court house elevator every day, but that the hundred and ten men who reported for examination yesterday surpassed any like number he ever saw for gentlemanly conduct and businesslike attitude. He states that among the wives and mothers who were with some of the boys there might be detected a tore of sadness, but that he boys thomsetves took the experience as a matter of business. There was not a rowdy in the whole bunch, and according to Frank, they were hist, about the finest body of young fellows ever in the aourt house.
