Two victories over the Athletics helped. The Giants helped the Dodgers raise their pennant and obligingly lost the
game.
The hasehall writerB wii, now repudiate John McC.raw, which reminds us of a boomerang. The Cardinals have now won five straight games but they have no hope of beating Cobb to a record. Tyrus increased his horse power to thirty-five, and hopes to make it three dozen today. Three hit club: Mnoskry, Vitt, H-ilman, Herzog, Wheat, Baird and King. Baker, Smith and Hornsby poled homers into the stands. Art Nehf pitched She brt ball of the, day against the Phillies. JOH.V I., REMEMBERED, NEW ORLEANS, U.. July 6.-J.
