Mrs. Walter Moore is president of the organization, and if also head of the "socks for soldiers'" movement at Thorntown. A meeting of Eagle township women interested in the Red Cross was

held Tuesday niirht at Thorntown Mrs. Elza Rogers, of the local chapter was present and explained the formafirm of an auxiliary to aid the work in this county. An organization meeting will be held next Tuesday night for the purpose of forming; an auxiliary. A meeting; of the Perry township auxiliary will be held tonight at the central schoolhouse in that township. Miss Sheridan will speak at the meeting.

Russell A. Budd. son of D. D. Budd residing near Lebanon, has enlisted in the naval aviation department and left today for Washington, from which point he goes to Pensaeoln, Kla., where he will begin his duties, which will be that of mechanic in the repair and care of naval planes. Mr. Budd served one enlistment in the United States navy.
