Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stevens entertained at a noon dinner Friday at 'heir home nn West Washington street in honor of I-ori Dale who spent a few days here on a furlough from the navy training station located at Great Lakes, near Chicago. Other guests were Mr. Dale's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dale and son Charles Jr., Mrs. Margaret Heady and Mrs. Emma Patterson and daughter Goldia. Last evening Mr. and Mrs. Dale entertainisl a large company of their friends at their home near Ward in compliment to their son. The evening was pent ir.f.iimully and refie-hu U were served. THE JI LY MEETING. The July meeting of the Queen Esther circle of the M. E. church will lie held Tuesday evening at 7:'10 o'clock at the home of Miss Mary Hogthire on East South street with Mis. Miss Pauline Wilson will have charge of the devotion; Miss Hoghire will give a piano number; Miss Mayme Stoltz will give a reading; and a vocal solo will be given by M Florence Parkin.
