APPROACHING MARRIAGE Miss Katherine Wikwn to Wed . Paul It. Means, or In- . dianapolia. The approaching marriage of Miss Katherine Wilson of this city and Paul H. Mean of Indianapolis was nrmounce.i this afternoon at the regular meeting of the Tri Kappa sorority Held at the home of Miss Roze Moore on North Meridian Ftwt at which time a number of the intimate friends of Miss Wilson and Miss Moore were Mm ial guests. The announcement not made until late in the afternoon when the hostess served a two I'nurw luncheon, anil the names, Miss K a;h rino Wilson and Paul II. The announcement came as a surprise to the ma,ny Mends of Miss WiU.n ami Mr. Means who althnuvh knowing of the engagement were not aware of the near date of the wedlinir. Miss Wilson is the oldest daughter "f Mis. 'V. A. fiuiilio and since her resilience in this city, having come here from Nashville, Tenn., a number of years ago, has become one of lliannn's most popular young ladies. While residing in Tennessee Miss Wilson attended a girl' school at (Salton, Tenn. Mr. Means is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Means of Indianapolis, foi mer residents of this city. He is a itladuato of the Lebanon high :;chool and attended Indiana university. While a student at Indiana he became a member of the university chapter of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Mr. Means hohls an excellent position with the T'rest-O-I.ite manufacturing company at Indianapolis. Following the short business session of the meeting this afternoon the hours were sfient informally and during the social hours the special guests vere: Mrs. Byron Jones, Mrs. Clark Berry, Mrs. Ralph Goodwin, Mrs. Alva Martin. The regular meeting of the Berean Bible class was held last Thursday afternoon at the farm residence of Mrs. Thomas Walker one mile north of town. The meeting was opened with song and prayer. An interesting feature was a reading given by Miss Hazel Walker "Brother Frenchman." After the business session refreshments consisting of ice cream and strawberries were served. The members present were Mesdames Margaret Harris, Grace Hratton, Mary Ramsey, Hattie Troutman, Maud Brown, Nina Evans, Rhoda Wallrtip. Dora Reiter, Anna Butler, Minnie Tip ton, Eva Wall. Curtis Mitchell, Elizabeth Gray, Delia Baber, Rachel Needham, and Anna Woehl, The visitors were Miss Irene MiUheltrce, Mrs. Allie Walker of Ladoga, and Messrs. William Walker, William Ramsey, Emmet Walker, Waiter Mclntire, and Robert and Dwight Lynch of Mansfield, Ohio. A committee was ap pointed to frame resolutions of sympathy on the death of Mrs. Effie Lane, no was at the time of death the secretary of this society.
