Overcast skies held no terrors for the veterans of the "Lost Cause." Down Pennsylvania avenue, where the sixties the victorious Union troops in blue paraded their victory. the depleted horde of the South s great grey army marched today, commemorating the valor of men who fought well and lost well. Five thousand United Confederate veterans, and five thousand others marched in the "parade," with the stars and stripes fluttering above the stars and bars. The veterans of the Southland were escorted by a thin line of Union veterans, members of the District of Columbia po'ts of the Grand Army of the Republic. Robert E. Ie, nephew of the Con federate leader, gave the order, "forward, marrh!" at 10:00 a. m.. and as the bugler blared forth the command, like a unit grey-clad shoulders went back, grey-elad chests swelled and grey-haired heoda became erect, as the grey army moved forward.
