Recently Drilled Tests Out 300 Gallons a Minute. i A new twelve inch well was run- ! nected with the mams of the Lebanon water work for the first time this morning. This well wan just recently drilled hy James Kersej. Yesterday it was tested out and according to the estimates it is furnishing three hundred (rations per minute. It is one i hundred and four feet deep with j twenty foot of gravel. This gives the I water works five good wells now. j There are two twelve-inch, two cightI 'ch and the big dug well, j The work of cleaning the stand pipe was completed today. Yesterday i evening at Ti o'clock the rnen beg in empting it. The ' uter wan allowed to run into the sanitary sewer. An important meeting was held Tuesday afternoon in the library by the officers of the ninth district of the Woman's Franchise league. Thi meeting was called and arranged for by Mrs. Susan K. Wasson of Delphi Ind., and there were a number o other prominent suffragists present I'l l in over the distrirt. .The business of the meeting was to anange the .speaking dates for tinninth district for Dr. FJI'ie McCullom Jones, who is l:eld director ot tne National Suffrage organization. The services of llr. Dr. Jones has recently come from Minnesota where she has been working in unorganized places. She is the first speaker to be sent by the national society in respon.-e to an appcul from the recent suffrage convention in Indianapolis, and I.ebanon if vry fortunate to have her here. Her whirlwind campaign is largely to pre pare the women of the state for the first exercise of the vote ir Indiana ivemen this fall. Appeal to Women. fr. Jones said before the Pearl of Directors at Indianapolis Monday: "The kind of u.-e to which Indiana women put their right of partial suffrage will be a large factor in determining the success of other campaigns. We want the women to make their influence felt. Indiana women have won a splendid victory and we are all proud of them. My work will be that of crystallizing suffrage sentiment and spreading knowledge in regard to the constitutional convention, and will p:ii-aii! the work of the Citizens' leai'ue." Mrs. Susan K.
