The encampment of the Indiana Soameh war veterans will be held in Marion in 1918, according to tho decision of tha delegates in session at Culver. W. A. Hood of Terre Haute was elected department commander after a close nice with J. W. Riggens of Culver. Beecher Trautman of Crawfordsville was made senior vice commander and i. JL Cook of Richmond, junior vice commander. The Rev. Homer Dale, of this city was elected chaplain. Mr, Dale was elected by a unanimous vote although he did not know that he was a candidate for the place. The next meeting will be held in Marion. Those who attended the encampment from here were Charles Slusser, Rev. Dale. K. S. Harvev and Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Miller.
