The following resolutions were adopted at the mass meeting of farmers held Saturday afternoon at the court house in response to the call issued by Governor Goodrich: Whereas, The United States Is facing the greatest sho'rtige in the food supply that this country has ever been engaged in. unit Whereas, Our Nation looks to Indiana for Its full quota of men to prosecute this great war, and for more than her share of food to maintain our army, navy, and civilian peculation, and realizing that the mun who glows food is no less a pntriot than the man who thnulders a gun, We, the citizens of Honne county adopt the following measures in order to stimulate food production and to onservc our resources to the fullest Xtent. In order to accomplish this end, we feel the neessitv of organizing our county with eommitteess to further all branches of production and to aid in the conservation of food products. Organisation. . . . $ h Eliza Jine Kohn Succumbed in Washington Township to Complication of Pisensts.
Eliza Jane Kohn, a resident nf Washington township died at her home there Sunday- evening at 8:16 o'clock at the age of seventy-five years, five months and thirteen daya, death following aevoral months' illness due to a complication of diseases. She was bom in Franklin county near Mt. Carmel, October, 25, 141. There she was married to Daniel Kohn September 28, 1H4. Her husband died February, 7, 1!)14. A few years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Kohn moved to this county and settled on the farm In Washington township where they both died. She was a member of the Presbyterian 'church at Mt. Carmel but when they moved to this county she transferred her membership to the Hazclrigg Presbyterian church. e Two children. Mrs. Ida Thompson of Washington township and Mrs. Emma Harris of near Kingman, Ohio, anil one sister, Mrs. John- Miller of Washington township survive her.
