Mrs. Herbert Irick and daughter, Lucille, of Sheridan spent Friday and Saturday at the A. V. Spencer home. The I.O.O.F. entertained their wives and children to a supper Saturday evening. Music made the evening a most pleasant one. Refreshments of ice cream, fruit salad and cake were served.

King are at Martinsville sanitarium taking treatment for rheumatism. Mrs. Lulu Akard was in Sheridan Thursday. Mrs. and Mrs. John Mutcher spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ben King. Miss Ethel Wright of Sheridan spent Sunday with Miss Hazel Pierce. Lucille, of Sheridan and Miss Opal Spencer of this place spent Saturday evening at the Ned Thompson home. Mrs. Roy Thompson and daughters Juanita, Irene and Maxine of Sheridan spent Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frazier. Mrs. Blanch McDowell and children of Sheridan are spending a few days at the Samuel Freeman home. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frazier are moving to a farm near Eagletown. A large crowd attended church here Sunday evening. Mrs. James Morris is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cox of Kirklin and Mrs. Lou Moore and daughter Lelu, of Bogatown, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frazier. Mr. and Mrs. John Pickett of near Christian Liberty spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. William Dennis. Mrs. Julius Shriegly and daughter, Irene, called on Mr. and Mrs. Dock Bogan Sunday evening. FAYETTE. Rev. John Huff of Lafayette, will preach at Mt. Tabor church here next Saturday night, Sunday moring and Sunday night. Tom Smith and daughter, Lorena of Iowa are visiting relatives and friends of this vicinity. Miss Joe Smith who has been very ill, remains about the same. Paul Funkhouser of Indianapolis spent the week-end with William Everett and family. Miss Margaret Turpin spent Tuesday night with Daniel Ross and wife. Willie Smith started to school at Whitestown again last Monday having been out for several weeks with the measles. John Everett and wife are the parents of a baby girl. She has been named Hazel Irene. Mrs. John Abston and son Floyd visited in Brownsburg, Saturday. Dolpha Weber and family spent Sunday afternoon with Emma Weber and family. The pupils of Central school gave a Washington program last Thursday afternoon. Miss Lola Funkhouser visited part of last week with Mr. and Mrs. John HEISTAND SCHOOL. There was no preaching at Max, Sunday on account of Rev. Tuggle conducting a funeral at Ratsburg. Clara Shelley spent Wednesday with Mrs. Minnie Graham. Mrs. Eck Beck and Will Alexander are attending the bedside of their mother who is very ill at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sheehan, West Lafayette. family. Mrs. J. W. Bratton visited her sister at Frankfort last Saturday. The farmer's institute will be held at Walnut Grove Saturday beginning at 9:30 all day meeting. RURAL ROUTE 7. There was a surprise given on Mr. and Mrs. Ovid Harbaugh and son Doyle who are going to move March 1. About seventy-five or eighty of their friends called on them Monday night. Everybody had an enjoyable time. ' Those who dined Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stephenson and children Olis and Inza were Miss Floy Eaton, Mrs. and Mrs. Dora Sipe and daughter Geraldine, and Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Campbell of Pikes Crossing. Miss Mary Perkins spent Sunday with Miss Olive Tucker. There was a very large crowd at the funeral of Otis Silvers which was held Tuesday morning. About fifty or sixty of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Sipes' friends pleasantly surprised them Tuesday night. Last Sunday was regular meeting day at the Baptist church. There was a large attendance both morning and evening. Next Sunday is regular meeting day at the Christian church. Every body cordially invited. Mr. and Mrs. Kouns spent Sunday with their daughter-in-law Mrs. Mabel Kouns and son Cecil and her sister Miss Hazel Kinkead. Tom Reed and family will move this week to the Frank Hiskey farm. JACKSON TOWNSHIP. Virgil Morrison has moved to the Odelia Scott farm near Old Union. Mrs. Etta Powell will move to Mishawaka about March 1st. Mr. Powell and son Urban have good positions there in the Ball Band Rubber Goods company. Ora Beaver's have moved in the Hendrix property on Roark street, at Advance. Ol Flinn has returned from near St. Louis, where he has been employed by a pipe line company. Jesse Ross is attending the bedside of his grandfather at Lizton who is very ill with paralysis.
