Herman Nelson Stabbed After stabbing Herman Nelson of 3U2 Hemlock street, in the back, three well-dressed colored gunmen overpowered and robbed him last evening at 137th and Hemlock sts.. Nelson described the threa colored men to the Harbor police as one about 6 feet 5 inches tall and the other two 5 feet 7 inches tall. All three were well dressed he said. Trolley Wire Snaps. Traffic on the "Orcen Line" from East Chicago and Indiana Harbor was held up from late last night until early this morning when a trolley wire was broken at 137th and Main ttreets. No one was reported hurt while repairs were being mado to the trolley wire. Police Officer Hathaway of the Indiana Harbor police station who answered the call notified the supervising official of the street car company at Hammond of the broken wire. In the dining room, the tea tables, i-resided over by Mrs. Jones and Mrs. T. E. Williams, was very beautifully arranged with a shining silver candelabrum with red candles, and silver tea services. There are at least two survivors of the '49 gold rush George W. Ketchklss, of Chicago, and Captain John Anderson, of Sewlckley, Pa. Ketchklss was recently notified of the dsatn of John E. Kerr and then believed he was the last survivor of the gold "fever." Shortly afterward, however, he received a letter from Captain Anderson, who suggested that the two old-timers hold a reunion. Captain Anderson wa a cousin of William ("Buffalo Bill") Cody. A height of more than 7.000 feet has bein reai-bd by balloonlsts.
