Disobeying police orders to keep their places closed three soft drink parlor operators who have been arrested and convicted of liquor law violations still keep their places open according to a report submitted by Captain Linn of the Gary police department to Chief Forbls this morning. Several months ag-o Mayor Johnson took drastic steps to stop the pale of moonshine when he Issued orders to Chief Forbls that in the case of convictions in liquor violations to close the place of business where moonshine was beln.tr told and providing the owner? refused, abatement proceedings would bo instituted to keep the places closed for a year. According: to the report of Captain Linn three places at 1533 Massachusetts street, Georgia street and 1600 Virginia street which were ordered closed are still ripen.
