All motorists who have occasion to drive to Chicago are warned by the Hoosier State Automobile association of the hostile conditions existing at South Chicago. It has been reported to Mr. Williams that quite a few arreets have taken place In the last few days In the vicinity of Exchange Avenue police station. In fact the arrests have been made on Chicago avenue and it seems from all reports that regardless of whether you are going fifteen, twenty or fifty miles an hour, members are being stopped and questioned and quite a few taken down to the station and made to put up ball and appear later for trial on various charges like speeding, reckless driving, etc. So far Indiana motorists have had no trouble In Chicago owing to an agreement which was signed July Slst of last year between the police officials of northern Indiana, the H. S. A. A., and Chief of Tollce Fltimorris and Deputy Alcock of Chicago In which It was agr-ed at Indiana motrlsts while in Chicago would receive all the courtesy possible from the police while In Chicago and In return motorists from Chicago were to receive like courtesy from ths police in Northern Indiana, This agreement has been lived up to nicely by Fltrmorrls as well as our various administrations In northern Indiana. This association cannot understand row why that a couple of hard boiled motorcycle polloe cf South Chicago who attempt to brow beat Indiana motorists. South Chicago does not want to forget that there is ten Chlcaero cars over In Indiana here a day to one of our Indiana cars in there. Up to this writing members of the H. S, A. have not been molested in Chicago

but as this association stands for all Indiana motorists we are willing to go the limit in protecting them regardless of whether they are members or not. So all members are warned, especially members of the National Motorists association all over the forty-eight states if unjustly arrested, a some reports received show partially shown, are to report ter our Chicago headquarters th-lr troubles and to our legal department in any town In northern Indiana and they will be taken care of. Non-members of the National Motorists association should use precaution and slow down while in South Chicago avenue and change station. Mr. Williams states that In has taken this matter up with Fltzmorrla of Chicago today but regardless of what agreement exists in the way of protection for the Hoosier State members in Chicago all Indiana motorists please observe their stat-; laws, boulevard stops, and whatever you do be courteous when stopped. This matter will be straightened out within a few days.

And our hearts have cried In eor row through the long yea each day; But no matter how wc love and miss you, father dear, God alone knows what is best, And a loving memory will always linger of our loved ones now at rest. We did all we could for you in life, and now in death, dear one, we remember you In prayer each day. Gone are the ones we loved most dearly from this earthly care and strife. Gone to the land of eternal free dom, no more to worry of tilings in life. There are griefs that cannot find comfort and wounds that cannot be healed, There are sorrows so deep in the human heart that cannot be revealed.
