Auditing freight bills Freight bills are crecked for errors ln rate?, classification, etc Filing and prosecuting claims Claims are filed for loss, danage and overcharge and are followed through to conclusion to prevent any unnecessary delay in settlement. Claims properly presented are ad

he party concerned as to the progress being mad. Routing carload and less than caroad shipments Many shipments ire unnecessarily delayed and overharged on account of shippers Jsing wrong routing, all cases of doubt should be referred to the department. General transportation matters Under this head, switching and ocal. deliveries and all transportation matters of a general nature are handled. " Save Shipper 13,000 The savings to shippers ln overcharges and filing of claims alone last year amounted to over $13,000.
