looks forward to a male heir. Such a child would have an interesting life (at present) obscure status. The relationship among the respective children would be most peculiar. There haa been considerable gossip recently, ever a "secret gland" or rejuvenating operation the exkaiser was said to have undergone. This gossip is said tc be entirely false and that the reports of such an operation wore inspired by a surgeon who lias just written a book which he used to advertise this doctor, a resident of berlin was rumored to be the author of the operation.

to be delivered to J. P. Mora. , of J. P. Morgan Company, and '. t there was no one left in the establishment to deliver them except the negro porter. The importance of conveying the papers was so preat that it was at last decided to immediately dispatch the negro on the errand. Upon his arrival i Morgan's offices, Rastus explained that he must see J. P. Morgan of J. P. Morgan Company, in person, on an important matter. He finally reached the big financier's : -elusive retreat ancr asked if he was J. P. Morgan of J. P. Morgan Company. "1 am," condescended Mr. Morgan, "ai.d who are you that comas on such an important errand?" "Suh." replied the negro haughtily, "I'se de coon of Kuhn, Loeb & Company." The domestic problem once again: The elderly charwoman was complaining bitterly of the laziness of one of the women who employed her. "Not a "and will she turn, mum." she said, "not a 'and. Just fancy, mum. on'y yesterday morning shj wouldn't even take a Hack beet'e off 'er own shoulder, an 'er supposed to be so fond of animals." St. Paul Dispatch.
