The San Juan basin, which will be "tapped" by the new railroad, covers an area of 30.000 square miles, and Is considered one of the richest areas of natural resources In the United States. Almost every kind of rraln and fruit that can be grown !n the United States can be raised on the fertile soil of the rich valleys of the basin.
