From J. Friedman. Tjse your braftis. That brain Is given to you that yon may decide for yourself what Is important and what la unimportant. Most of us think and act more like sheep than like men. As a result we are not ready or good Ideas when they do come. The troufble with us Is that we hang on to our predjudices and our foolish reverances for vacuity more desperately than, to the most Important truths. The thing for you to do young men and women (I mean men and women up to 85. for all ought to -be young up to that age and even later) is & learn what our city needs, and to demand that we have It. Don't let other people form your

opinions for you don't accept your opinions ready made like a pair of rubber boots. Doubt, is the key to knowledge. He who never douibts never exam- - Ines, he who never examines dls-

covers nothing, he who discovers nothing Is tolisd and will remain so. "We need a Ivipital. Think of a city of 40,000 people without one. Ton see the need demand It. Talk hospital, think hospital, vote hospital, and we will have a hospital.
