OLD ST. PETERSBURG
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES1 By JOHN LODWICK ST. PETERSBURG. Fla., Oct. 13. According to the calendar, winter is a trifle over two months away, yet this risort where a goodly number of Lake county, Ind., residents were visitors lst season, is
already entertaining many northern early arrivals who dread any contact with dancing snow flakes, wlntery blasts aDd heatless radiators.
Anticipating an unprecedented rush of winter visitor this peason, St. Petersburg stormed through another big building program durinj the summer, resulting In the erection of three more new hotels, scores of new apartment houses and several hundred new bungalows. Almost the entire front of Central ave., the ehow street of the Southland, has undergone a change, but the long and comfortable green benches that grace the wide sidewalks of the famous thoroughfare, set one In baclc of the other, from the water front westward for a dozen block, remain undisturbed.
