Remarkable Growth of the ABC On September 12th 1922, an advertisement appeared in the Lake County Times giving a list of users who had purchased their ABC Washing Machines from The General Electric Shop. In this same issue of The Times appeared the advertisement of a competitor giving a list of approximately 1000 names. To a reader, who did not have the full information this comparison of lists would indicate that the preference of the people was in favor of the competing machine.

1st

Our list included ONLY the machines sold by the GENERAL ELECTRIC SHOP, and did NOT include the sales made by other dealers in this territory. Had WE published a list of ALL ABC SALES in this territory and Gary, the list would have had considerably more than 1,000 names.

2nd Our sales were made in TWO YEARS AND FOUR MONTHS. The sales listed by our competitor were made during a period of more than TEN YEARS.

3rd

EXCLUDING sales in Gary, we have OURSELVES sold in TWO YEARS AND FOUR MONTHS more than half as many ABC machines as the competitor had listed, and the competitors' machine has been sold by various dealers in this territory for more than ten years, AND THEY HAD THE TERRITORY FIRST.

4th

At the rate that ABC Washing Machines are being sold NOW, it will not be many years before we will have sold more machines than all of our competitors put together.

5th

The growth of A B C sales is such that the ABC factory recently made the largest single shipment of washing machines EVER MADE to one man. This shipment was an entire train load 35 cars consigned to A. A. Wilson at Los Angeles, California, on July 1 st, 1 922. See the photograph of this train at the GENERAL ELECTRIC SHOP.

Any one who will carefully compare the A B C and any other make will readily admit that the

A B C is superior and the price is right.
