Forester will have to undergo another operation, as he is not getting along well at all. He is again confined to his bed, after having been able to be up and about for a Bh&rt time. Chester was injured while at his work several weeks ago. Mayflower Camp. Royal Neighbors, No. 309, will meet this evening In I. O. O. F. hall at 8 o'clock. It is requested that all' members be present, as plans will be made to attend the annual election of officers for Lake arid Porter counties at Lowell, Ind., Tuesday, Sept. 26th. The precinct committee of East Chicago and Indiana Harbor met last evening at the home of Mrs. James Cavanaugh of Grapevine boulevard and re-elected Mrs. Ruth Gilman of Northcote avenue city chairwoman. Dr. and Mrs. F. L. Townsley of Baring avenue, spent over last week end with -the doctor's parents at Idaville, Ind. The large community room in the East Chicago Methodist church was the setting last evening for the annual reception of the teachers of the public schools of thl3 city. The room was very cosy and homelike with baskets of garden flowers and floor lamps. There were about two hundred who were received by Rev. Craig and wife, principal of high school, T. E. Williams, and wife and the young women of the Wesleyan circle who formed the receiving line. A short program was rendered and Rev.
