While on his way to a farm near Wheeler to demonstrate a milking machine early Friday morning, Mr. R. Collver passed a tPuck loaded wlrh chickens. Inasmuch as chicken thieves have been at work in this vicinity during- the past few weeks. Mr. Collver become suspicious and drew hps sun on the four men who were driving the truck. The men surrendered and upon investigation were found to r.ave stolen the chickens near Wanatah. Thty gaive their address as Hammond. The men were taken to Valparaiso and turned over to the officials of that city. Inivitations have been issued for a miscellaneous bazaar shower to be given at the home of Miss Catherine Wehner next Tuesday evening. .
