VVliilo the economic situation ol Austria is desperate, it is not completely beyond salvation, according to a statement made here today by Otto Kahn, the American banker. "The present desperate situation of Austria is logical consequence of the treaty of St. Germain, which was a piece of political and economic lunacy," sali Mr. Kahn.
