SUGGESTIONS When Making Boiled Frosting, if you failed to cook it long enough put in a double boiler and boil about five minutes, stirring occasionally; then beat and spread while warm and it will be creamy and not run off the cake. In Using the White of Egg One egg can be made to take the place of two if cold water is added before beating; then, if beaten with a good egg beater, it will look lika the whites of two eggs. To Dye White Curtains Ecru If, after washing your curtains, you will dip them in coffee, you will have the desired results. The dark-r you want them the stonger the coffee sfiould be. In Stirring Thickening For Gravy, etc., sometimes re rind that it gets lumpy when we are in a hurry. If so, just put an egg beater in and beat it a little and it will be nice and smooth. Use your egg beater for custards, etc., and you will find they are nice and smooth. You Will Find It A Great Help to time yourself in doing your work: set a certain time to have a certain thing done. You can accomplish more than you can by just taking your time. To Clean Silver Place silver in an aluminum dish and cover with water, place on fire and let boil for from five to fifteen minutes.
