REVENUE CUTTERS WATCH STEAMER LANES FOR ICEBERGS
Since the Titanic disaster and the sacrifice of hundreds of lives, U. S. revenue cutters patrol the north Atlantic on the watch for i-ebergs. The position and course tf the icefloes then is broadcasted to trans-Atlantic steamers. As the bergs break away from the Greenland coast they are caught up by the Labrador current and whirled into the steamship lanes off the Grand Banks.
