PARTHENON SHOW IS A BIG HIT Hamrnon ddid itself full Justice last night al the opening performance at the Parthenon theater of Henry Santrey and his Symphonic Orchestra, and his contributing company of stellar vaudeville artists. One might have imagined one's self on Broadway, or Chicago's renowned Rialot at show time, so great were the crowds that had taken advantage of the specially arranged treat foii-this city. S. J. Gregory merits
ter. ThlsNby the way, was a signal honor for the company, as public demand caused the management of the Majetsio to extend the engagement one more week over the contracted time.
The Henry Santrey Symphonic orchestra Is, without doubt, the leader
of the tremendously popular method j
of syncopating melodies in a new and different way and an enthusiastic audience at the Parthenon expressed themselves generously In showing
their approval. Harry and Anna Seymour piled more laurels on their already large accumulation by "stopping the show" which in the parlance of the theater means that a delighted audience insisted on their giving encore after encore. Santrey himself, with Anna Seymour, in their own travesty, were an applause hit also, and lent that touch of musical comedy production to the evening's entertainment that again reminded us of Broadway or Randolph street and a visit to the "Follies" or "The Tassing Show." The Santre? Symphonic Orchestra, Harry and Anna Seymour, and the other acts, will close their engagement at the Parthenon on Wednesday night. r
the commendation of theater goers for his zeal and consideration In bringing Santrey here. The Santrey Symphonic orchestra, under the personal direction of Henry Santrey. does in fine fettle afterlits two weeks stay at the Majestic thea
