Points Out That Raisin Bread Elimnates Waste to the pocketbeok. Recent reports on ralstn trread will be interesting to the. housewife. For many j-ears this loaf has been In demand because it economicalily chanfted a plain loaf of white bread to a delicious delicacy. Cake-Hke in its flavor and nourishing: because of the energizing- nutriment the raisins contain, it Is a dellg-htful combina tion of tasty and healthful food. Now it is suggested that there i no need, to waste raisin 'bread. Fr quently a large percentage of whit bread becomes stale before it can bi consumed, and it is necessarlU wasted. With raisin bread, it Is pointed out, the left-over part can be utilised the next day to make a delicious bread pudding. Your lisins are already in the bread, id if more are needed they are -onomical enough to purchase a ackage and after using what more s needed, keep it on the ehelf, for raisins always make any plain food more attractive and more nourishing. Raisin bread Is not only o popular feed, but the fact that there is ab solutely no waste is rather an advantage in that It can so easily Ibe medae Into a delicious dessert a point hosewrves cannot afford to overlook. Porter has regained possession of a postcard view of Hartford City, Indiana, more or less prized which had been snatched away in the grasp of a vagrant tornado which swept over the neighborhood of Orester recently. She might not even have missed the card as it was one a number of souvenirs kept In an album, but the fact that it made a long flight from the middle of Indiana to Mt. Cory, O.. in the lap of the winds, and then came back by mall brought the picture Into the limelight. With It came a letter from J. O. Klnstle of ML Cory, who reported that he found it shortly after the tornado whipped over his home. Only a small corner of the card was missing. fV WINS PR 1 7 t? PAIGE CELEBRATES NEXT WEEK
The week of June 11th has been aet aside as National Demonstration "Week by the PaJge-Detroit Motor Car Company. During that period, all over the country from coast to ooast. Paige dealers will keep "open house" and play the role of hosts, extending- to all, whether prospective car purchasers or not, special opportunities to ride in the Poige 6-66, try out Its qualities on the road or in city traffic and fill out a performance chart for purposes of comparison if they so desire. National Demonstration Week, for the Paige, is in the nature of an an-ni-versary celebration. It was in May, last year, that the Paige 6-66 Daytona Model, on the Uniontown, Pa., track, broke every world's stock chassis speedway record from five to 100 miles . DuTing the year these marks remained not only unbeaten, but unchallenged until the car that had made them, on May 7th yast, on the Cotatl, Calif., speedway in a dash against time covered 25 miles in 15 minutes and, 27.9S seconds,, a new world's stock chassis record. This added more than six miles per hour to the same car's previous world's record of 90.1 made a year ago. It is not, of course, the purpose of the National Demonstration Week to give the motorists who accept Jlie Pcige liwttatlon a touch of "high life" at 96 miles an hour. While these high peeds) prove endurance and reliability there will be no attempt to let the 6-66 out to Its full power. The demonstrations will ibe t- show how the Paige responds to the non-professional driver and the value of it performing powers in daily service over a period of year
