Here are the jrlzn winners in the Brooks House "Best lTd.by" contest. The top picture is that of Rahoda Kandazo, winner of the second prize. The child's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Kandazo. live at 530 Merrill street. The middle picture shows Dr. Cook and Miss Bewsey weighing baby Carl Androff, winner of third prize. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Androb. They live at 521 Ames street. The bottom picture shows smiling Steve Farkos grinning at the world. He has occasion to. He's the first prize winner. The best -baby in East Hammond. His parents live at 520 Ames avenue.

Among the 25 babies examined by Dr. George M. Cook, director of the Brooks House child clinic. Dr. H. S. Kuhn, public school health director. Miss Jennie Bewsey, R. X., Brooks House narse, and Miss Lula Cook, R. X.. assistant to : K'uhn. were found many near-perfect infants. It was something of a puzzle to select the prize -winners. But There were the flg-ures showing conclusively what was what. Some mothers objected, naturally. But most agreed. Those whose babies didn't win went home with a fuller knowledge -of the importance of proper dieting, prompt medical attention for their offspring and learned many things about how to improve the health of their children.
