CHICAGO, May 25 The nude body of an unidentified woman, beaten and with a strangling rope around the throat, was found in a west side lodging house today. Police immediately rushed to the scene in a search for the slayer. Half an hour later six men living in the building were seized and taken to headquarters for Questioning. Tha room in which the body was found was disarranged. One theory of the police was that the woman had been lured into a "moonshine" orgy which ended in her slaying. In the neighborhood it was stated that the woman was known only as "Rosle."

Later, he went to the garage. He shut the doors and windows. Then he started the engine of his motor

car and waited until the fumes had smothered him.

LOCOMOTIVES

PHILADELPHIA, PA. May 26 Ponderous enortings and chugglngs In the vlclnlt yof the Baldwin Locomotive Works plant at Kddyston, near Chester today announced the departure for Texas of 20 Santa Fe type locomotives In a solid train weighing over 6.000 tons. "The Prosperity Suecial," as officials of the plant have named it. An Impressive ceremony at a specially erected grand stand alongside the Pennsylvania railroad tracks preceded the departure of the engines. Messages from Governor Sproul and President Harding were read by J. P. Sykes, vice-president of Baldwins; United States Senator George Wharton Pepper, delivered an address. The remarkable shipment of locomotives is the first of its kind since in 1898. when tha Baldwin Works shipped a long train of locomotives for the New York elevated railway in similar fashion. The present consignment is destined to become part of tne equipment of the Southern Pacific railroad.
