presented the Congregational Church Sunday school with a.marble peestal that had been presented to her by members of the above Sunday school's primary classes niceteen years ago as (i gift of appreciation for the great interest she manifested to that department for several years. A scroll, bearing the names of the givers, including many of our most prominent citizens will be framed and hung in the Juvenile department of the church. Mrs. Kline Hughes, a former Whiting school teacher, met with a serious automobile accident in Chicago a few days ago. A three course dinner was served for 150 during which musical entertainment was provided. The Misses Elizabeth Grayhock and Lillian Grayhock of Joliet, 111.. Jos. Chilla, Jr.. and Miss Anna Chllla, Vincent Sell and George Fedor furnished the .vocal and instrumental music. Miiss White of Chicago and her pupils, Misses Conklin. Stanton, Sullivan and Senehak, all of Whiting entertained in a play.
