IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. A-2 30. Be it resolved, By the Board of Public Works of the City of East Chicago, Indiana, that the construe tion of a local sewer in Parrish Avenue, from the center of 143rd Street to center of 145th Street together with the necessary sewer stubs, man holes, catch basins and water services. Commencing at a point In center line of 143rd Street to center line of 144th Street said sewer shall be constructed 'Of vitrified tile pipe 12 inches in internal diameter, and from center line of 114th Street to center line of 145th Street said sewer shall be constructed of vitrified tile pipe 10 inches in internal diameter. Said sewer with all appurtenances shall be constructed in accordance with the profiles, plans, and detailed specifications and maps on file in the office of the Board of Public Works of said city of East Chicago, Indiana. The cost of said Improvement shall be apportioned against and paid by the property holders whose property abuts thereon, and upon the City of East Chicago, If the city is benefited by said improve ment, all according to the method and manner provded for in an act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations," approved March 6, 1904, and in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of all acts amendatory and supplemental thereto, passed by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana-' Assessments, If deferred, are to be paid in ten equal annual installments, with interest at the rate of six per cent per annum. A bond or bonds shall be Issued to the contractor in payment of said work, unless the property owners pay said assessments before said bond or bonds are Issued. Under no circumstances shall .the City of East Chicago, be or be held responsible for any sum or sums due from said property owner or owners, for said work, or for the collection of the same or for the payment of any bond or bonds, certificate or certificates, issued to the contractor In payament for such work except for such moneys as shall have been actually received by the City from the assessments for said improvement or such moneys as said city may be required to pay.
