"Ruor" Fenton has visited HamHe never rave out any advance information of his coming-. In fact he would have cancelled the engagement If he knew anyone was expecting: him. He was then a slick short chang-e artist with a gfltb toneue which often cost bank tellers several thousands at a single sitting-. Xext Sunday he Is coming to Hammond. It's on a different mission. He will deliver a sermon-lecture at the CFlrst Methodist church. Fenton has been arreste-d all over the country and in his own city of Chicago, has been arested twentysix times. Fenton received a new vision of life and the next day started life all over again. For the past three years Fenton has been delivering addresses before Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, Kiwanls Clubs, colleges and churches. In his sermon-lecture Fenton tells how he became a professional thief, answers the question, "Does Crime Pay the Criminal?" "Is there honor among: thieves?1 "How Royalty Once Helped Him Rob.' "Are the Criminals Mentally Abnormal " "Crooked Policemen, and His Aeformation." The First Methodist Church expects a large crowd Sunday evening to hear Fenton.

Liquor Conspiracy Cases Find Echo in Federal Court Yesterday. INTER NATIONAL NEWfc SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 11. The Muncie liquor conspiracy cases, in which two score of persons from all -walks of life In Muncie were tried in Federal court last November, were echoed yesterday when Delberta "Williams, 19, long sought as an important witness, finally was haled by Judge Anderson on contempt proceedings. The girl's testimony was wanted against Thomas V. Miller, Muncie lawyer, and John C. Sullivan, owner of underworld real estate in that city in the November trials but the case against MUler was dropped because of lack of evidence when she could not be located. The Williams girl "was arrested at Anderson Saturday by a Federal operative and was brought into court today after spending three days in jail. At first denying any knowledge of the Muncie cases, she finally said: "Judge, there Is one thing I am
sorry for. I lied .before the grand Jury to shield Tom Miller. He asked me not to tell on him and when he was drunk he threatened me and said he could get me locked up if I did tell. He lied about a lot of people In the cases here and made them out worse than they were." "Tes and everyone In the courtroom knew he was mixed up in it," Judge Anderson answered. "And it was such people as you who let him get away.' After a second talk with the girl, Judge Anderson allowed her to go without sentence.
