Boston Dancer Had Said That Herbert Rawlinson Had Attacked Her.

BOSTON-, May 8 Mrs. Dorothy CUrk Elms, 17-year-old dancer, has ratracted her former denial of the charges against Herbert T. Rawlinon, motion picture actor, brought by her mother, Mrs. Ethel Clark, in her $200,000 suit against the actor. "Herbert Rawlinson attacked me when I was a trusting child of fourteen," said the glrL "Ever since I was ten years old he waited for me to grow up. He ruined my life. He promised to marry me when he secured a divorce from his wife, Robera Arnold." Mrs. Clark and her daughter are

preparing to leave for California where the mother's suit Is filed. She alleges, as does her daughter now, that the attack took place in 1918 In New York, vhtn Dorothy was dancing in the Hippodrome. Mrs. Clark declares she has "proof of Rawllnson's attack." 'Vhen she filed the suit her daughter issued emphatic denials of the charges against Rawlinson. About the time of filing of the suit Dorothy was married in a Maine city. Shortly afterwards Mrs. Clark was under treatment in a local hospital for poisoning. It was rumored that the differences between mother -and daughtr were in some way responsible, although it was said the poisoning was accidental.
