Dr. Alfred Adson, head brain sur geon of the Mayo Brothers cinlc, spent Wednesday visiting with his old friend Dr. Frank Doll of West Park avenue. Dr. Adson is enroute from the east where he has given several lectures. The Mother's Clm.b of the M. E. Church met at the home of Mrs. Nll on Thursday evening. A most enjoyable as well as a profitable evening was spent. Pictures of "Children of Other Lands" were thrown on the screen and something of the conditions under which the children of the other half of the globe line was depicted. Mrs. Ivey then gave extracts of Edgar Guests Article, "It Takes a Heap o.f Living to Make a House a Home," which was interspersed with several other poems. Following this a discussion on various phases of home life and child training. Mrs. Ivey appealed to the Mothers to enjoy to the fullest their children's babyhood as the love of the little baby is the sweetest thing on earth. Then she read ten original poems "Sleepy Time" and "Lovin' Time" about her second baby, that were filled with tender sentiment. The hostesses Mrs. Null and Mrs. Burk served dainty refreshments. Many members considered this the most helpful meeting of the year of the Mother's Club. The annual meeting of the Missionary Society will be held In the Whiting Church of- Christ on Mon. day, May Sth from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Dinner will be served In the church.
