Expert on Love Expounds Interesting Views For The Gentler Sex
r INTER NATIONAL NEWS SERVICE XEW YORK, May . "It is entirely possible for on man to love 100 per cent two different women, or for one womtn to love 100 per cent two different men," Dr. Andre Trldon declared today, Joining- battle with Dr. David Forsyth, of Washington, in the realm of pyscho analysists. Tridon. & leading authority in his line, was proof-reading", bis new book on "Love," and he declared to the International News Service that his deductions on the subject were ;based on years of Collection of statistics. Forsyth had declared man to bo
incapable of being "head over heels in love" with more than one woman at a time, but that he mlgrbt be "half In love" with two, or onetwelfth in love with a dozen. "A man may lore, more than the whole world, a woman who Is of the mother typ. in whom he seeks protection, whose praise and belief in him tickles his egotism," Tridon said. "Yes, this man may love 100 per cent a woman who 1s merely female, and nothing else. She may be neither likable mentally, nor distinctly attractive physically. "No one individual satisfy both phases of the human "character."' Selection, according to the psychologist, is a matter determined in childhood. While the man Is a nursling babe, according to Tridon, his ideas regarding feminine beauty are determined iby his mother, his nurse or women who surround him. "Our dual nature makes it possible for vi to love two individuals wholeheartedly," Tridon declared, "but for" any man to love twelve women one-twelfth Is Impossible. 'Two wholehearted loves are possible for & man or for a woman, but any Increase beyond that means merely flirtation or promiscuity. "A woman may love the kind of a man who always keeps his accounts straight, Is never In debt, always et home and stays (home nights, -who Is always considerate and kind tut that kind -of a man is extremely unroraantic He would not appeal nroch to a movie audi-

TROOP ACTIVITIES Troop 7 had a very interesting meeting the other evening. Scout Master Fair had "some very pretty colored ibird pictures, and the troop had an identification contest. The result was that one boy had a perfect core, and two only one mistake each. Prizes were .given the winners.
Troop 8 did a fine turn the other evening. Scout master Scranton, took the troop to Hessville, and with the assistance of Mr. Patterson and Mr. Smith, they re-organlzed troop 19. The Weft Hajnmond boys gave a dandy exhibition of Scout work and have guaranteed that Troop 19 will be placed on the map. The winners of the second division in the inter-troop meets of Troop 18 of St. Mary's church. The winners of the first division was Troop 6 of Irving- School. Troop 18 had never met troop 6 so they decided to take their measure which they did, Thursday evening, May 4. at Maywooi gym. A large number of visitors and parents were present. The contest was close and very exciting, but the North Side boys were a little too fast for troop IS. and consequently won the contest. Both troops did work which they could not be ashamed of, out due to more scout training Troop 6 won the honors. The Scouts' City Clean Up campaign has practically stopped because of inability to secure trtacks to haul the stuff. Some troops had as many as four and five truck loads of paper, rags and iron. The total amount gathered will e over 23 truck loads, and nearly thirty thousand pounds. The boys feel that they could easily make it one 'hundred thousand if they "had had the time and means of transportation. Next year they are planning putting
on a Clean Up Campaign during- vacation week, and will guarantee doing a thorough job of It. They certainly appreciate the kindness of the people who saved the stuff for them and were surely sorry that they could not get It all. Some time ago Colonel Meyer presented the boy scouts with a twenty-four room Martin house with, the understanding that 1t was too be erected at Camp Wicker. After postponing the trip several times, last Thursday morning Colonel Meyer, Executive Scott and Scoutmaster Brown took the house to Wicker. They erected It. This sounds very simple and easy, but you should have eeen it. The house measured over four feet each way, and weighed over one hundred and fifty pounds and they put t up on a Jointed post of 6x6 timber. They dug a four foot hole, and with the assistance of a neighbor 'boy, a Ford truck, a step ladder, a couple of ropes, and a number of planks, they finally managed to -get the jointed post In an upright position and bolted Into Its place. It is in a ibeautiful position in the open space of the cabin, and they claim that fhey are sure that It
