Fire early last evening swept through the tailor shop of A. Schuzer at 509 Hohman street, corner of Indiana avenue, wiping out a $4,000 stock of Men's clothing and suitings. The fire started when the stovepipe fell to the floor and flames leaping up ignited the ceiling. Mr. Schuzer working in the rear room of the two room store rushed to the street. Companies one and three of the fire department responded to the call. They kept the 'blaze to the ground floor. Apartments aibove were smoke filled but escaped damage. Schuzer lives at 233 Hoffman st. He says the loss is partially covered by $2,000 insurance.

STILL. GETTING STILLS Detectives Carlson, Fandrel and Kunz last nignt dropped in on Jas. W. Writt of 269 Sheffield avenue. They found a still and two quarts of moon. Writt, a carpenter, was released on $1,000 ball. He faces charges of v. 1. 1. "Only for home consumption," is Writt's plea.
