MELD G ARD , FEATURES LATEST SONG HIT With each audience getting: bigger and bigger at every performance of "Foolish Wives" at the Parthenon the musical presentations by "Al" Meldsard at the new organ and the newly arranged orchestra under the

able direction of Elmer Newstrom, seem to be causing much favorable comment and to gain more applause from the patrons of this house than the feature picture. At last night's performance Meldgard featured one of Remmick's latest song hits "While Miami Smiles" with ill-ustrated slides and drew a generous applause from the audience. A great number of patrons have commented favorably on this phase of the Parthenon's policy and there is little loubt that the management has at last found the right musical combination with which to please their patrons. Some reports h-ve been circulated which probably were prompted by the recent change in orchestra directors, that the management were dickering for the services of either Milton Charles, organist of the Tivoli theatre or Jesse Crawford, organist of the Chicago theatre, but such is not the case as the management feels that they have in Mr. Meldgard about the best that can be obtained for Hammond. Also there are several first row constituents that would rise up In arms were they not afforded the pleasure of Meldgard's playing.

While in the Legislature he was ever faithful. Now nominate Otto Q. Fifleld for County Treasurer. 4-26-5

NEW NASH CARRIOLE ARRIVES Just about the smartest thing In

motor car coach work and automotive engineering design has arrived In Hammond, at the Hammond Auto Sales Co., in the form of the new Nash Four Carriole. This latest creation of the Nash Motors Co. which claims to "lead the world in motor car value'' has been so designed and priced to meet

the requirements and pocket tbooks of a great number of motorists who have heretofore thought the "old bus" would go for one more season. Mounted on a standard four cylinder chasis this Carriole, all metal body, upholstered In Mohair and Is comfontafbQy designed to accomodate four passengers, appears as if it will make quite a name for itself in the automobile industry of this region. According to Henry Eisner, manager of the Hammond Auto Sales

Co., there is a demand at the present time that exceeds the supply and considerable more people than were ever expected have favorably examined the new car.

EXTRA ACTS AT THE ELK'S SHOW TONIGHT The Elks have secured from the Western Vaudeville Circuit a company of five artists direct from the Majestic theatre for this evening's special attraction at their house warming festival. Frank O'Rourke
