The others will be riven a hearing later. According: to the story which Officer John J. Farrell of the Chicago Detective Bureau had obtained from several members of the gr&ng, the seven men had planned to rob the mail or do some other job In Whltinjr. On the drst morning:, another automobile appeared on the Siene. The "fellow with the velvet collar" Insisted It was another "mob" he knew who had come to pull the same Job. However, th boys were afraid the car was filled with detectives and refused to make the attempt. At the same time the occupants of the strange car were also frightened away. The next morning the robbery was committed, but which gang did It has not been developed. However, connection between the two gangs is established through the velvet collared gent. At the hearing this morning It was shown that Sushko's connection with the affair was scant. Ptszyk also was drawn Into It through relationship to other parties and really acted only as a messenger on a few occasions. Both were released with warnings. The story of the finding of the automobile license plates in one of the bags was also told. One of the men had said that he knew a plate had been taken from the bag and placed on the rear of the machine. It was because of this circumstance that Joseph Blel, Whiting bank cirrk was caused considerable inconvenience for the numbers were intended for his car. The facts as unearthed by the officers completely exonerate Blel In the minds of any who may have bellsved In his guilt when he was first arrested.

AT THE PARTHENON "Foolish Wives," the million dollar Universal super-picture appearing at the' Parthenon theatre this week, will, without doubt be one of the most talked of pictures of the year. It Is sensational In spots, remarkable for the acting of its stars quite spectacular at intervals, and thoroughly Interesting In theme and story. There Is one outstanding and dominating personality In the picture Erich Von Strohelm, who wrote "Foolish Wives' directed It and enacts the principal role. Von Strohelm has given a character to the screen that everyone will despise but everyone will want to see. He actually nauseates with his polished deviltry. Tou feel his personality so strongrly that you want to go right -up to the screen and do him bodily harm and then realize that this very feeling Is fostered by the wonderful art of the player, the perfection of his acting, which makes you forget entirely that he is simply a star acting a part. The magnificence of the scenes have never b'een equalled, especially those depicting Monte Carlo and the gaiety and luxurlousness of the life in this famous beauty spot of the world. - The story tells of the adventures of a Russian Count and his two women confederates at Monte Carlo. An American who comes on a diplomatic mission to Monaco la accompanied by his pretty wife. The Count marks the wife as hia prey. He roes not make mtich progress In his exploit, however, because fate steps In at every turn to save the young woman. The Count's adventures result la his final disaster and the American man and wife are happily reunited.
