A nurprlse party was given by Mrs. William Fleck last evening in honor of her husband's 'birthday anniversary. The evening was spent in cards, after which a luncheon was served. The out of town guests were Mrs. J. Griffin and ion Robert from Valparaiso. Mis. Carrie Murray and son John who went to Denver, Colo., about two weeks ago to make arrangements to move to that place, have returned and have decided to remain in Hobart. Mrs. Kramer and daughter Clara were Chicago (visitors yesterday. The Thursday Evening Club met last evening with Mrs. Rilcow.

The American legion are announc ing a two day carnival to be held on the ISth and 19t)i of next week. Mrs. H. Naef has returned from a two weeks visit with her daughter ifrs. Kraft, who live at Robertsdale. Mr. George Stoker baa rented a room in the community building and expects to rnei e there shortly.
