CASE OP AGAIN

INDIANAPOLIS, April 6 The federal grand jury, which has been in session since March T, will report next Saturday, according to Homer Elliott, United States district attorney. It is expected the report will be on 125 cases involving nearly 200 defendants. Several of the most serious cases have arisen from violations of the prohibition law and the motor vfhicle act, Mr. Elliott says. Among- the matters being investigated by he jury this week are liquor law violations at Clinton and the case brought und"er the same law against Carl Vlebahn, former director of the city recreation department of Indianapolis. CASE AOAINST HEML'S It was expected aisj by Mr. Elliott that an investigation would be made of the case against George Remus and others cl prged in th eOhio district with violations of the liquor law through distribution of liquor withdrawn from the warehouse of W. P. Squibb & Co., at Lawrenceburg. Remus is charged, with conspiracy to violate the law both in Ohio and Illinois and is under $."0.000 bond at Cincinnati and 110,000 bond at Chicago. The case brought agaist Wilson E. Cooke, Fen E. Applegate and George W. Applegate, off icers of the Corydon Rational Bank, on a charge of misapplication of funds, will be investigated.

Kinkead, a corporation counsel of Cincinnati, last August 5, was placed in the hands of a jury in the Brooklyn Supreme court today following a fifty-minute charge by Justice Joseph Aspinall. ¶ The Judge declared the jury could return six possible verdicts; not guilty by reason of insanity, first degree murder, guilty of second degree murder, guilty first degree man slaughter, second degree manslaughter and not guilty because the state had failed to make a case against her.
