ArxiMAUV MEETS. The Ladies" Auxiliary of Edward II. Larsen Post No. 802 Veterans of Foreign Wars mot last evening in the parlors of the Maj?st!c Hotel and heard the report of a profit of ?S5 from tha candy ale at tha Farihenon theatre when "A Buck on Leave" was presented last week ty the Tost. They decided to hold the election of officers on next Friday evening- and then have the Installation of officers and institution of the auxiliary at a public meeting within the next two weeks. It is hoped that, every mother, wife, sister and daughter over sixteen years of ago of every overseas veteran will join in the work of the order. They are requested to send in their names and addresses to 3Iiss Kathryn Larsen. secretary, 1084 Garfield street, so that they may be notified of that meeting. Mrs. Clarence Scott delightfully entertained the members of: the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge ciub on Wednesday at her home on Kast Seventieth Place. Chicagro. Peter Lang-endorff, rector of St Paul's Episcopal church. - A picturesque and delightful "stag" party was givon in honor of Miss Alice Davis on Thursday evening in her homo on State street. Seventeen carefully groomed and well-tailored young gentlemen enjoyed music and dancing, and a flash tig-lit picture was taken of the group. A delicious course luncheon was served to the guests after a most enjoyable evening.
Progressive Conclave One of the True Kindred will meet this evening in the Moltke Hall. There will be a short business meeting, at which all members are urged to be present, followed by a card and bunco party to which the public is invited. Gordon B.
