The Green Line ie said to have done a poor Job at laying the new track which caused th rails to loosen and break up the pavement. This made It necessary for the contractors under their maintenance bond to spend $589.23 in making repairs. Then it is charged the street car company in laying the new track dug out the crushed stone which had been placed by the contractors for the street foundation. This stone was loaded on cars and hauled away. The material la said to be worth 352 12. All of this w? explained In a suit for damages fil"'d today by the contractors against the street car line, in the Hammond superior court. They demand reimbursement for their los-?s.
