1! WHITING and its PEOPLE Mrs. Smith of Kalamazoo, Mich., who has spop.t the winter with her son and family the Clyde Smiths, left for her home yesterday morning. Clyde Smith returned home from Casper, Wyo.. on Saturday where he went on business for the Standard Oil Company. Mra. C. M. Helman of New York avenue spent Sunday in Chicago as the guest of relatives. Canton's Auxiliary No. 57 gave a surprise party on Mrs. Tomkins at her home In Atchison a,venue, light refreshments were served and ail enjoyed a delightful evening. The Daughters of Reibekah will hold their regular meeting on "Wednesday evening. There will be Initiation and lunch win be served and all members are urged to be present. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fritz and son "Walter, of 334 Cleveland avenue spent Sunday with relatives in Chicago. Mrs. Augusta Klose entertained about forty relatives and friends at her -"home in 300 Central avenue on Saturday afternoon in honor of her seventy-third birthday anniversary'. The hostess served refreshments from two until nine o'clock and she was presented with many beautiful flowers and gifts from her many guests. All departed wishing Mrs. Klose many more happy "birthdays. On Sunday, Mrs Charles Klose entertained at a family dinner at her home in 119th street in honor of (Mrs. Augusta Kiose, after which, the guests all returned to Mrs. Aag-uata Klose's home to celebrate the evening. The guests at the dinner were the Eckstein family. Mr. and Mra, Erie Guatafsen. Herbert Trowo and daughter, Mrs. W. "Wiase and their daughter Edna, all of Chicago, William Trowe of Michigan, Gustavo Trow and family, H. K. Green and family. Chas. It. Klose and family and Henry Trowe or "Whiting. Tha Owla Clu2 will entertain at a St. Patrick dance on Priday evening, March 17th. Tha Ladles Aid of the Christian Church will serTe a supper la the church parlors on Tuesday evening. March 21st. The Sociology Class meeting has been postponed from tonight until next Thursday, March llth. at seven p. m. The regular meeting of Ladies of Maccabees will he held tomorrow evening. A social hour win follow the business meeting. The concert of the Methodist and Congregational church choirs at the Congregational cteurch will be held this evening.
