The subject being; schools in Japan, the homo was beautifully decorated with yellow chrysanthemums, vines of wisters, Japanese parhola and American and Japanese flags, tho latter being made by Mrs. H. K. Philips. A dainty lunch was served from a Japanese tea room, presided over by Mrs. iUehard Bates, M-es May Bweringen and Miss Hazel Lanson who were In Japanese custom. In the center of the tea table, waa a beautiful cherry tree in full bloom which added much to the beauty of this room. The- favors -were small Japane.se para;jols. This being guest lay a goodly number were present who were not members of the society. Mrs. W. W. Smith the leader had prepared a very interesting program. The afternoon was a delimht in every way and will long be remembered by all present. Mr. S. n. Ditzler, who was badly burned while at work at the Republic mill, two weeks ago, is getting along nicely. He will not be abale, however,

Davis of North Baring avenne, is able to be up and around, after being confined to bed for several days, suffering with kidney trouble.
