Marion, the six year old granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Pritehard, had the misfortune to fall while sliding on the ice in front of her home. 47 Sheridan avenue, on Monday evening and broke her arm above the elbow. The bone was reset by Dr. Lauer. A supper will be served by the Ladies Aid society at the Christian church on next Thursday evening. Imniediately after the supper a six act play will be given. 'The Every Member Canvass ' which will be a treat for all. Mr, and Mrs. John Glenn expert to soon move their shoe store into their new building on ll9th street within a short time. The Daughters off Isabelle will have. a short meeting this evening which will be a business session to be followed by tie Knights of Columbus who will take charge and entertain the ladies, The Woman's Foreign Missionary society of the M. It was later learned that Koeske was wanted by the Hammond police and was turned over to Officer Singer. The History and Literature section were In chareg of the program and its being the club's aannal guest night this department gave play entitled "Doctor Cureall. The farce produced much laughter and was indeed a clever piece of work. The cast was Mrs. Fred Kenredy as Dr. Cureall and Mrs. W. G. Swartz as Maria the office grirl. The patients were Mrs. E. P. Brown, Mrs. A. B. Tull Mrs. J. E. Brinkel, Mrs. F. M. Tjotik. Mrs. Streeter, Mrs. L. Campbell, Miss H. Trarseau and Mrs. W. 3. Farker. The other numbers on the prograrm consisted of a paper on "Property Rights of Women." by Mrs. Russell F. Smith and a piano and violin duet by Mrs. J. H. Hosklnson and Mrs. C. P. McNeil. Mrs. D. J. Conrad of Hammond entertained a largre number of friends on Sunday evening at a 6 o'clock dinner .which they gave in honor of the third wedding- anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klernm. Jr. of Robertsdale. Those from here were Mr. and Mra. P. R. Eckman and Mr., and Mrs. Louis Klemm and daughter of Indianapolis boulevard. A very pretty surprise party was home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yant of Indianapolis boulevard ,in honor of the latter's brother, Emery Frank's birthday anniversary. The home was beautifully decorated throughout in Valentin sogrtrestions. The evening was spent in playing Bunco for which priza wore awarded. Mrs. Conrad first, F. Eckmann second, and Mrs. Miles third. After the games a most substantial three-course luncheon was served on tables that also were adorned with pretty decorations. The guests from Hammond were Mr. and Mrs. C Conrad, Mr. and Mrs. D. Meyers and Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Eckmann. Those, from here were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klemm and daughter Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. Mile.
