Iempsey's manaarer said here yesterday when informed of reports from Nogalas, Ariz., that Mexican promoters were trying to arrange a boat between the two pugilists to be staged in Mexico City. Kearns said Mexican promoters had approached him in Oakland. Ca!., recently with offers for such a match, but that he did not consider them anything but trivial.

Milwaukee and Chicago Boy Skaters to Race CHICAGO. Jan. 13. Tentative plans for an intercity meet between Chicgao and Milwaukee school boy ice skaters were drawn up today and city officials responsible hoped that the contests could be broadened to include teams from Now York and Cleveland. Preliminary tejts have been held at aJl Chicago playgrounds and semifinals will be held In eight sections Saturday, with finals on Jan. 21. SCATENAS VS. CHICAGO HEIGHTS The reorganized Scatenas will Jump into action Saturday night against the strong Chicago Heights quintet. The Scatenas have been practicing for two weeks and are in mid-season form. Th"y have played tvro games away from home and. winning both of thes they have booked a game at home. The recent games have shown precision in ' the play and prove that the defense Js unsually strong. Wallie Hess, an athle'e who won hi laurels at Indiana university, appears to be a fast workers and while in games has scored most of tho team's points. Ollie Koth from Purdue is a veteran player and is an excellent shot from any position on the floor. The Scatena team la out to make a showing this year as this Is their nrst year at the hoop game. The rest of the team made up of Cearing, formerly of Michigan. The Peidenbecker brothers. Grace and ejhanks, all of High school fame. The game will be played at the Lafayette gym, corner of Calumet and Sibley tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. The Scatena Juniors will play a lightweight tPa.m as a curtain raiser.
