GARY MAROONS
With an ease that almost n Uurics.ruo on football the East Chicago ! Kodgerg trampled all over the Gar j .Maroons last Sunday at Graver's field, f The score of the travesty trailed iteit' j I.;) to 43-0 and it would have mounted j mu.-h higher only for the fact that j i ' .a. h Pat McShane experimented with i i-is men In shifting th-m around. t The Maroons, In the fir.it place, were ! outweighed, and in the second place, j i utcl.-issed. This was not Urn fault of ! ho Dodger management, however, for j the Maroons advertised completely out ' y( their class. They have been having .'ii easy thing of ail teams in their I eight this season. 1'reviot.is to thU game they have not been scored upon, j and they aspired to even greater i io'iora in tackling the Dodgers, .1 I 1, ally high class eleven. As foo'haii saiiiis-lre wan by merit of goo-iterj -kill and not by luck it was next to ; 'impossible for the Maroons to score, a ; i ictory. ! This victory places the Dodders a-- j 1 tie leading- contender for the mythical j championship or' Iake county of the ;
one hundred twenty-five pound ol3ss. They have defeated every team in the reu'i-'n of this class except the 11am"'Jii'l Scatena Jrs. Since they have constantly sidestepped the -tigers ir-.d were eliminated last Sunday at tne Ight arena by the I. J I . Lions, whom ;hc Dodgers rode roughrhoj over earl1. r in the season, there can be no dis
pute as to the superiority of the Fast i ' 'bicag o outfit . ! Since, however, it was not the sain-"- j
-:ons who lost to ths Dodgers xhat 1 on over the .Seauna Jrs., a teniauc U'reement haa been arranged between 'e: Lions and the Dodgers whereby a st-season affair will be featured as !'' championship game of the class if ' ho Lions continue to prove themselves worthy opponent for the Dodgers; .rlieruise the Dodjrers will invite the -humps of the Chicago 123 pound :' ",'Ji' to play off an interstate championship affair.

Three of Brown's stars. Capt. Shupert. right half, at left; J. H. Barrett, guard; center. Gulian, right tackle.
When Coach Ed Robirsort assembled his Rrid squad at Brown university at the beginning of the season he realised that 1921 "held little hope for his team of
inexperienced men. So he bejran building for next season. And while Brown's showing hasn't been even fair this ;-ear, Robinson is developing some stars
which will give him a powerful team noxt year. Most of the men are sophomores. Capt. Shupert, Uirrett, ShurtlelT and Gulian ate among the men who are shining.
