t INTER NATIONAL NEWS SERVICE CHICAGO. Sept. 29. Officials of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen were to hold another conference here this afternoon in connection with the strike vote taken by that organization. Tabulation of the ballots of the etrike vote wa proceeding1 slowly and It was announced that the result mljht not be announced until late today. James Murdock, vice president of the brotherhood made it plain today that the trainmen would strike, regardless of the action of other railway brotherhoods. "If the conductors, engineers and firemen, or the switchmen see fit not to strike while we vote to do so, we shall, of course, regret the lack of unanimity but the action of these other crafts will not operate to keep us from strntIngr." LONDON, Sept. 23 Premier Lloyd George's note to Eamonn De Valera was telegraphed to Dublin today says a dispatch from Inverness. Announcement was made here that the contents of the reply would be made public some time after 3 o'clock this afternoon. The premier's communication is in reply to a note from the Sinn Fein leader on September 19th, in which it was suggested that England and Ireland enter into a treaty of accommodation and association as a basis of Irish peace. He Invited the Sinn Fein to send delegates to an Irish peace conference in London on Octover 11. The premier reiterated the cabinet's declaration that Irish independence cannot be recognized and protests that a basis of negotiation cannot be reached through correspondeneThe Daily Herald, organ of the British Labor party, had forecast the character of the note as follows: "The communication is brief, consisting of but two paragraphs. In the first paragraph the premier reiterated that England cannot recognize the claim of the Sinn Fein for complete Irish independence, but does not Insist upon renunciation of this claim as a condition to holding the proposed peace parley. The second paragraph states that, upon this understanding the British government would welcome a conference. The text of the communication Tol-. lows : "Despite the Irish delegation's sincere desire for peace and desrite, the conciliatory tone of De Valera's latest communication, we cannot enter a conference on the basis of this correspondence.
