Nothing short of coal famine during the winter faces the middle west and northwest which are supplied by the bltumtnous coal fields, according to the present indications. The weekly production of bituminous coal has been nearly 2.500,000 tons short of norma!. When the "rush season" bogln, which will be about the middle
