The town of Wheeler will be supplied with electric current in a few days as all of the poles are in and many houses are wired for the service. E. L. Arment of O-ary, who has bought some land south of the Bracken farm has started to build a dwelling on his place and has it now well under way. The Ridge Road was closed to traffic on Monday and anyone wishing to go to Gary has to detour to 45th ave., or over the new 21st avenue road. The Gary, Valparaiso and Chicago highway has ben marked out through Hobart with large white signs on the telephone poles. It goes through Hobart south, via the Lincoln Highway to Valpo. A fill is 'being made on W. 3rd street for sidewalks from the river bridge to the street car barns. The Ladies Home Missionary Society met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Axel Strom. Edw.
